Arthur's Organic Market

Beginning in June 2023, the Moore to Love Garden will be hosting Arthur's Organics farm stand on our property located at 6020 Wister St.

In the late 50's, Arthur Moore migrated to Philadelphia from North Carolina and he brought his horticultural roots with him. By the mid- 60's Arthur started a garden behind the homes on Wister Street. Mr. Art was known for growing abundant amounts of vegetables and the largest heads of cabbage anyone had ever seen. Since all of his produce was organically grown, we decided to name our farm stand with him in mind. Arthur's Organics is set to be our farm stand which operates once a month providing fresh produce on a sliding scale donation model. The farm stand was started to address the need of local community members and residents for healthy produce as prices for healthier food options continues to rise in grocery stores. We will be bringing our organic, locally-grown produce, which generally includes onions, bell peppers, radishes, lettuce, tomatoes, collard greens, kale, mustards, squash, spinach, lettuce mix, garlic, and more.
